With more than 18,000 Bonner alumni, the Bonner Foundation relies on some of our most passionate Bonners to engage alumni from their respective program. An Alumni Ambassador is a student who serve as alumni relations liaison at their respective schools for the Bonner Foundation. Ambassadors offer alumni the opportunity to connect with each other and the Bonner community as a whole. As a student alumni ambassador, you can help direct the future of students-alumni interactions and provide meaningful insight that can shape your campus Bonner program and the Bonner Alumni Network’s future. 

 

Description


 

The Bonner Alumni Network Student Ambassadors are students leaders who build relationships between alumni and students through communications and events. Ambassadors:

  • ensure the most up-to-date Bonner Alumni Directory contact information are at their respective schools
  • maintain clear lines of communication with their Office of Alumni Relations/Affairs and the Bonner Foundation
  • organize at least two activities per school calendar year on their campuses to connect Bonner Alumni with one and another
  • assist in the recruitment of future Bonner Alumni Ambassadors; and,
  • be the point of contacts at their school for alumni to network with one another

 

Potential Bonner Alumni Network Student Ambassadors should possess: 

  • Strong communication skills 
  • Genuine in building and maintaining relationships 
  • Patience, tact, flexibility, and diplomacy
  • Good work ethic to perform task independently
  • Desire to meet Bonner Alumni and share others Bonner experience

 

Expectations 


 

Bonner Alumni Network Student Ambassadors are expected to:

  • Lead the planning and execution of Bonner alumni events and projects throughout the year on their campuses.
  • Engage with Bonner alumni and serve as alumni relations liaison on their campuses

Qualifications


 

The minimum qualifications to serve as a Bonner Alumni Network Student Ambassador are as follows:

  • Have an active Bonner status at your institution.
  • Good disciplinary standing with the Bonner Program at your institution.
