Site Supervisor Guide to eSigning Hours


 

Step 1: Log-In to BWBRS

Your campus liaison will provide you with the BWBRS web address.  To login, you will use your email address (#1) and a password (#2) provided by your campus liaison.

 

 

Note: if you forgot your password, you can type in your email address (#2) and click on the "Send Password" button to have it emailed to you.    Also, you can change your password to something you'll remember by using the Settings tab at the top of the page (see above image).

 

Step 2: Go to Hour Log Report Page

From your BWBRS home page, click on Hours Logs under the Student Menu (see below).

 

 

Step 3 - Select the Semester and then the Month, Bi-Weekly, or Week View in the Hour Log Report

 

  1. Select the appropriate student (#1).
  2. Then, select the appropriate reporting time frame using the semester drop-down menu at the top of the page (#2).
  3. Then, select the appropriate "Show Hours for ...." drop-down menu (#3) and click the Update button (#4).

  

 

NOTE: We prefer that you approve month by month throughout the semester. However, if you must bring your approvals up to date for prior semesters, you may approve entries for an entire semester if you first change your calendar view by using the drop-down for "Show hours for..." menu and select the entire semester (#2).

Step 4 - eSign Your Name & Save Page

 

After reviewing the hours the student logged for service at your organization, you eSign the hours following these two steps (see bottom of image below):

  • Enter your name in the electronic signature box at the bottom of the page (check box # 1)
  • Finally, click "Save" to record your changes (check box #2)

 

NOTE:  Before you approve any hours, be sure that the date of the student's signature is after the day and time of the last log entry. If this is not the case, you should contact the student or campus administrator so that the student is prompted to sign their monthly log (electronically sign the semester view of their hour log report) before you approve hours on the site supervisor level!
