Service Trips:

• First-Year Service Trip:  The Bonner first year class is annually given the opportunity to visit and serve at a location away from and different from the Meadville community. This opportunity allows for student to learn about issues impacting communities away from their own.  Through engaging in working for and with individuals who were a part of other communities, Bonners are able to get a better understanding of the social , environmental, and economic issues that many individuals face across the country and the structures in place that create these issues. 
• Second Year Exchange Service Trip: Each year the Bonner Sophomore Class attends a Service exchange trip in collaboration with one or more partnering Bonner Programs. 

Bridging Academic Connections and Community Learning:  

• Senior Bonner Presentations of Learning: Each year the Senior Class will be asked to present their Learning from the time they had joined the Bonner program. Senior will be asked to share about what they have learned from the Program as well as what they have learned from their community engagement.  Presentations are done during our annual Bonner and Beyond celebration.
• Summers of Service, in the Local Community and Away: Allegheny Bonners have the opportunity to participate in two funded Summers of Service. Bonners that participate in their Summer Away Service commitment are asked to give a presentation of their learning at the Annual Bonner Overnight Retreat at the beginning of each academic year.
