Highlighted Bonner Specific Programs:

  

  • Bonner Leaders serve at eight Tampa-Bay non-profit agencies and fulfill a variety of roles from supporting youth and arts programs to building capacity in terms of coordinating programs and creating marketing content. 
  • UT's program has five student led committees: Big/Little, First Year Experience, Marketing, Service and Social and Sophomore Exchange. Bonner Leaders have multiple leadership opportunities through their committee work.
  • Senior Bonners complete a capstone project that impacts their non-profit site. 
  • Over the last few years, the First Year Experience has taken place in Orlando, Fort Myers and Venice in partnership with different non-profit agencies.
  • UT has partnered with Bonners from Rollins and Stetson for Sophomore Exchange. In 2022, they participated in the Take Action Institute Conference in Orlando, FL and in 2023 went to Rollins College in Winter Park, FL.

 

CAMPUS-WIDE ENGAGEMENT AT A GLANCE


  • The PEACE Volunteer Center sponsors multiple Alternative Break trips each year.  Each trip focuses on a different social issue.  There are weekend trips in Florida, spring break trips throughout the US, and May trips (one international and one domestic).
  • PEACE partners with local non-profit agencies to provide two to three service experiences each weekend during the school year.
