The Bonner Leaders Program at UNC Charlotte is an intensive, four-year community engagement opportunity for undergraduates. Bonner Leaders are embedded in Charlotte-based institutions and agencies, participate in weekly skills development seminars, earn course credit, conduct community based research, and contribute to public policy initiatives.

 

Bonner Leaders are selected through a highly competitive process open to incoming first-year students eligible for federal work-study awards. The program is committed to the belief that students can address critical social issues, providing them with an avenue to positively affect their campuses, the local community, and the world through leadership and excellence in service.
